Everyone loves Taco Tuesdays (extra salsa for us, please), but what about Taquita Tuesdays? Or even better, Taquita Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays…well, you get the picture.

This delicious morsel was surrendered to a vet’s office after she suffered a back injury. At 3 years old, she is as sweet as she is beautiful, but she’s going to need some serious TLC before we can think about sending her off to a loving forever home. Taquita is ridiculously snorty, which, while endearing in that piggy sort of way, may be a sign of brachycephalic airway syndrome and could warrant surgical invention. She’ll also have her wobbly back and hind legs thoroughly examined, and we’ll come up with a game plan to keep her as mobile and pain-free as possible. Last but not least, she’ll be going in for a spay.

Phew! That’s a lot of vet visits, but luckily for Taquita, she’s got the power of the FBRN community behind her. Taquita came to us with nary a peso in her pocket, so please consider making a donation (no matter how big or small!) to her care. With your help, we can get this chiquita bonita the medical care she needs and the forever home she deserves. From all of us at FBRN, muchas gracias!
