Three-year-old Captain sails in after some stormy seas in his health. This 35-pound youngster was surrendered to FBRN when he ruptured a disc earlier this summer, leaving him incontinent and paralyzed in his back legs. After a stay in the hospital, he is now stabilizing under the care of his foster family, which includes three senior canine foster siblings. Captain’s “ship” is now a doggie stroller, which allows him to travel around and say ahoy to everyone in the neighborhood--he loves them all, humans big and small and all dogs.
Captain has a long way to go in his recovery, but he is in good hands. His foster mom is working on a diet for him to deal with his allergies and helping him with a diaper rash. Captain is getting regular physiotherapy exercises and cold laser therapy to see if he might gain some mobility in his hind end. To pitch in with these costs, click on his picture to sponsor Captain.
Captain, all the best to you as you gather the positive Frenchie spunk in regaining strength and mobility in your hind quarters! Diane and Daisy (FBRN Grad '17
