"Diva is a very loving dog and she deserves a home where she is given all the love she can handle. I don't think she would do well in a busy household; she would do best in a home where she can be with her human all the time."

ABOUT DIVA

-Diva has several allergies we address with diet, supplements and regular medicated baths. Foster mom can talk to you about the foods, supplements, and shampoo that work for Diva.
-Diva has brachycephalic airway syndrome (learn more about BAS here: http://frenchbulldogrescue.org/a...-frenchie/bas/)
-For dogs with BAS, a harness when going for walks is best; a collar or choke chain can damage the airway making the condition worse, and might even threaten a dog's life.

Another little brindle nugget has just joined the Available page! Diva’s previous owner became terminally ill and sadly surrendered her to FBRN. Such a heartbreaking situation, but Diva was loved and well taken care of and we’re happy to say that she has settled into foster care quite well.

She did not live with kids or cats in her previous home, and has not had any exposure to either while in foster care. While we think Diva would most likely get along with children and maybe with cats, we have to say no to both.

Diva is just as sweet as can be and loves to play with her foster fur-brother. She also enjoys spending time with foster mom and will insist on being petted if foster mom has the audacity to stop petting her for any reason!

Like many Frenchies, Diva has quite a few allergies, including down/feathers and human skin cells, which means she cannot sleep in bed with her humans. What an atrocity! Diva will sleep in her crate at night, but she doesn’t like it when the door is closed. Foster mom just leaves it open and everyone is happy.

While in foster care, Diva had surgery to correct her nares (nostrils) to improve her brachycephalic airway syndrome. She also had a new procedure called "folded flap palatoplasty" to improve her airway by shortening and reducing her soft palate, and she came out of it in great shape! However, she will need a person who can keep an eye out for overexertion, heat, and who will make sure she never wears a collar or choke chain. Harnesses only for this girl, and preferably ones that are suitable for a diva! Perhaps with rhinestones or jewels?

Diva loves to disembowel plush toys and chew on Nylabones, but her favorite activity is getting attention from her humans. She needs a home where her people are available to adore her and won’t leave her in the crate for extended periods of time. A work from home person would be fantastic! Or we would be delighted to see applications from those lucky few who are able to take their dog to work. Diva would make a wonderful office companion! She does require frequent potty breaks and if she’s not allowed to go outside every few hours, she can have accidents in the house. For this reason, a house may be a better fit than an apartment. However, Diva doesn’t require much exercise and she’s not an escape artist, so a fenced yard is not required if she has people available to get up walk her for a short while every few hours. Good for you, good for her!

A few words from Diva’s foster mom, "Diva is a very loving dog and she deserves a home where she is given all the love she can handle. I don't think she would do well in a busy household; she would do best in a home where she can be with her human all the time."

If you have room in your heart and home for a beautiful brindle nugget, then please apply for sweet Diva today! She’s ready for a forever home full of love, Nylabones, and hopefully a few stuffed toys to disembowel. Please be prepared to travel since Diva is relaxing in her foster home and will not be shipped.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
