Update 11/7/07
From a snarky little beezus, to a well-behaved (though still stand-offish) little frog, Zoe has managed to absorb the lessons of boot camp, and is getting along fairly well with the dogs in her foster home. She wants to be an only child, and we think that would be best. Her allergies are still an issue, but we are continuing to work through our bag of tricks in that department, and we are hoping that as winter rolls in, some of the irritants will clear. We continue to work on a diet that will support Zoe's immune system and not contribute to her allergic responses.
Meet Zoe, currently in foster care in Pennsylvania. Zoe was surrendered because she has some allergy problems and some aggression problems. In her former home, which contained two small children, Zoe took offense at some of their young visitors and got nippy. Not only that, she isn't a huge fan of her canine brethren either. That said, her former family loved her dearly and her previous foster parents relayed that she is very sweet and affectionate. We think maybe Zoe needs a behavior "tune-up" and a dog-free, kid-free home to really bloom. She'll be undergoing evaluation and lots of good behavior drills in foster care, as well as getting some medical attention for her allergies.
