In Memory of Happie Soux Badeaux
Happie Soux Badeaux was with us for far too short a time. This sweetheart came to FBRN after a puppy mill operation was busted in Texas. This tiny girl who came to us underweight and with patches of hair falling out by the handfuls, quickly taught everyone she met about counting one’s blessings.
Happie was the embodiment of everything that is great and noble about dogs. She put her past in her rear-view mirror and focused on what was ahead. Quickly adapting to a foster home setting, she proved she was smart as a whip, and picked up on all that dogs are supposed to do such as being housebroken, crate trained, and of course she immediately picked up on the art of cuddling on the couch. Other dogs gravitated toward her, and she loved to play and learn from them.
Sadly, just a few days before she was to go to her forever home, Happie Soux Badeaux suffered a tragic accident that ended her life. We are saddened that Happie did not get to experience all the love that she deserved over a long life, but we take comfort knowing that she did not die alone and unloved in a puppy mill.
