In Memory of George

I read George’s (Jeorge) bio on the FBRN website, then saw his precious face and knew he was the one for us. I prayed that God would give us favor with the application process and He did. His foster Mom & Dad were so helpful and kind.

We took George home, our first frenchie, and our lives changed forever. From the start George was an outgoing, intelligent, adaptable, fun and loving family member. We have an aged Boxer whom George was so kind to. He would cuddle Alvin, clean his ears or just lay with him. He knew that Alvin didn't have the energy to play.

George loved life, people and other creatures. He loved with abandon, never holding back. George loved his daily walks at the beach; he was always the first one at the door to leave, the first one in the car and the first one out. George was first in everything.

George also loved his food. Every morning he followed me into the kitchen and squeaked incessantly until he received his bowl of food, which he inhaled. He would then go outside to take care of business, get a big drink of water and return to bed with my husband, under the covers of course.

George only barked if he sensed an intrusion. He squeaked, which was to let us know that he wanted to be either in our laps or in the same chair with us. He snuggled us whenever we were sitting or lying down. He was never content to be by himself. He illuminated our home with his unselfish love in a way that we shall never forget. In fact, there is a terrible void here that is unbearable.

George, we love you so much. We needed you so much. Thank you for loving us.

Forever grateful,

Mom & Dad
