With a head as big as a soccer ball, Wilson has been served up to our deaf dog specialist in Maine in hopes she can help him grasp the ways of people. In just a week, the resident dogs have taught him about outdoors pooping and learning to sleep in a crate. His foster family has taught him, "Good dog!" "Watch me!" "Sit" and a few other signs that will make life easier for all of them.
Wilson, big head notwithstanding, is a small Frenchie, and he is adorable. He was given a little too much free reign in his home and he started guarding things. His things, his food, his people--and his family could live with that, on account of because Wilson has charm out the wazoo. But when the baby started crawling and Wilson started guarding the baby's toys, his family drew the line.
Wilson is in good health, and we think it will not be long before his foster family's sign-language lessons and his "Dog 101" lectures by the resident dogs pay off for him. If you have a couple of bucks to donate toward his tuition in the school of life, we know he'd appreciate it as much as we would! Just click on his photo and make a note in the teeny little box on the final check out page where it says "Add a note." Tell us it's for Wilson and his ridiculous tongue. |
