Roxanne of the TX 12 is loving life in the air-conditioned comfort of her new foster home! No more baking in the heat of a Texas summer, lying in her own waste and listening to the deafening and constant barking of her fellow puppy mill inmates. Here's what her foster mom said about 1 year old TX Roxanne:
"She is a typical puppy. The first few days that she was here all she wanted to do was PLAY! It was play, play, play, play, play, play, play, play, play, pee on the floor, play, play, play, play, play, play, play, play, play, poop on the floor, play, play, play, play, play, play, play, play, play, harass the boys, play, play, play, play, play, play! Get the idea? We're working on the pooping and peeing.....
She is very friendly with everyone! She obviously has not been exposed to life in general. She is acclimating nicely to sounds of cars, motorcycles, dogs, new humans, the trash truck, pots and pans clanging, music, laughter, etc., etc.!"
Like her fellow puppy mill survivors, Roxanne is being treated for heartworm. While she is getting that treatment, she'll have to be kept quiet, so a lot of that crazy play will be curtailed while she gets some rest and those nasty heartworms are killed and gotten rid of!
