Hold onto your heart because here comes Smudge!

Poor Smudge’s life has been a bit of a whirlwind in the last few weeks. He was surrendered to a Manhattan animal shelter due to a divorce in his former family. While in the shelter he passed all his behavior tests with flying colors and would have been adopted out by those folks, except it seems he was completely misunderstood. Some of the shelter staff stated that he was growling at passers-by while in his cage, but the shelter behaviorist, on reflection, now thinks it was only the normal Frenchie snorts and death yodels. Smudge is a very snorty, snorey boy.

At any rate, Smudge is now safely ensconced in his foster home and is a much happier boy for it. His foster mom reports that he is a sweet frog who appears to get along with other dogs. In his former home he frequented the dog parks and is a complete ball freak.

Except for some allergies, Smudge appears to be a young healthy frog. He’s already been neutered and is supposedly housebroken, so that will make a few less hurdles for him to conquer on his way to his forever home.

Even the healthy frogs need a little something to help make their transition to foster life a bit easier. Would you give up that double mocha latté today and instead give it to Smudge for his very own Kong or Nylabone? Or better yet…a whole slew of tennis balls to chase! Just click on his picture and tell us it’s for Smudge. He’ll thank you with a big ol’ snort!
