Sidney is a three year old brindle female who is in need of the FBRN recipe for success: nutritious meals, an extra big helping of TLC, and a side of good hygiene. Due to unsanitary conditions, Sidney has skin and ear infections and her body is painfully itchy, red and inflamed. She has chewed and scratched herself raw and is missing the fur on her face and paws. She is now being regularly bathed and treated. Due to neglect and possibly her thyroid condition, she is also underweight by at least 8 pounds. She is now receiving wholesome fresh-cooked meals and thyroid medication.
Sidney is sloooooowly discovering the world outside of her crate and is generally terrified of it -- especially men. At her vet visit, she was so afraid she soiled herself several times. She had the same reaction upon seeing men on her first walks outside. She has progressed slightly in this respect already and now only crouches behind her foster mom when she sees men. After much effort, she has started to warm up to her foster dad but still panics if her foster mom leaves the room when they're all together. When she is in this state of what can only be described as abject terror, Sidney will growl at people who approach her.
If you'd like to help poor, neglected Sidney recover so that some day her little cup runneth over with the joy of a forever home, please click on her photo and donate a little tidbit to help her through this tough time.

I know they can be scary but men aren't all that bad once you just get used to them :) Sounds like you must have known a REALLY bad one. Teresa Caudle
