Seurat is a five year-old male Frenchie that was surrendered to a California animal shelter. He is so ill that the shelter was going to put him down. Luckily, FBRN was able to give him a second chance. Our California team scooped him up and placed him in the loving arms of an expert foster home., who of course promptly took him for a full medical work up. 

The bad news: this poor little guy is a mess. He has a severe skin yeast infection that covers his entire body, with a secondary bacterial infection, including an ear infection. His legs, rear, genitals, and belly are scaly and wrinkled like elephant skin. He is covered with tumor-like growths. He has an ingrown tail and severely luxating patellas (a 4 out of 4 on the scale). He is very wobbly, and frequently trembles all over and bobs his head. He is also very underweight.

The good news : despite all this, he is absolutely adorable and 100% friendly! A little awkward with human attention, but you can tell he wants to learn how to be a pet. Just look at those eyes! We won't really know what his personality is like until he gains some strength and self-confidence but it's looking aces! His foster mom recently gave him a medicated bath to help his skin. “Seurat the Dot had his first bath here … 15 minutes of Keratolux soaking and scrubbing and he was such a sport. Twice a week should be no problem for this champ! He's almost completely smooth from the scrubbing! And perhaps a bit balder than before.”
