Rudy Valentino is a handsome new addition to the FBRN family who has some issues to work out. He is UTD on his vaccines and is physically healthy, but he’s had some emotional and behavioral issues that need to be sorted out before he can begin the search for his forever home.

Rudy is pretty grumpy towards other dogs and can be reactive with people as well. He has been placed on a drug to even out his behavior, but so far, Rudy seems to be getting worse and worse. After biting his former owner and her grandchild, breaking the skin, Rudy Valentino’s family made the difficult decision to give him to FBRN with the hope that he can get the help he needs.

Rudy was transported to FBRN’s amazing behavioral expert, and she’ll be evaluating him and deciding on the best course of action to get Rudy feeling happy, healthy, and balanced so he is ready to be a cherished family pet. During the transport, Rudy showed his reactivity with FBRN volunteers as well. Rudy was clearly very loved by his former owners, as evidenced by all of the belongings that came with him and a detailed letter outlining everything they knew about their boy. It’s heartbreaking when a situation like this gets out of control. Rudy will need some stricter rules and less indulgence in order to overcome the behaviors that led his adoring family to give him up.

For now, Rudy Valentino will be working on learning boundaries and rules while his foster mom figures out what makes him tick. It can’t be happy for Rudy to have this kind of inner turmoil going on, so we’re going to do our level best to help him get where he needs to be. If you’d like to donate to his care and help Rudy Valentino become the kind of gentleman deserving of such a suave name, please click on his picture to the right and make a donation.
