Pudge was adopted by his foster home
Pudge was on the available page, but when his hair started falling out, he developed tummy troubles and he lost a lot of weight, we moved him back to the foster page. He was on meds for two weeks, but as soon as he came off them, the problems popped up again. He doesn’t look as moth-eaten and he’s not as sick now that he’s on what might be long term—up to 4 months—medical treatment. We are waiting for a little consistency in his wellness before he is put back on the available page. If you wanted to send Pudge a note of encouragement and sponsor the boy, he’d be delighted to hear from you!
We FBRNers see a lot of Frenchies. More than most people, we’ll wager. And not just your every day run-of-the mill frogs either. We see all kinds, and for that reason I guess you could say we may be a little hard to impress. HOWEVER, we are in general agreement that Pudge is one of the most unusual Frenchies we’ve seen come down the pike in a long, long time. Not unusual “eew” but unusual “WOW!”
What is it? His health? No, Pudge, at first blush, seems healthy enough, and he’s heartworm negative. Needs a neuter, but that’s nothing out of the ordinary. Personality quirks? Nope – seems like a pretty straightforward guy, and is warming right up to the foster family. So what IS it then?
HE’S BROWN.
So what? You say. A lot of Frenchies are brown – the brindles, the fawns, blah, blah blah. No. Pudge is BROWN. Deep chocolately, velvety brown with not a hint of brindle. Like a black masked fawn that has been deeply toasted like a delicious marshmallow. That’s right. Brown like a chocolate lab.
And THAT, my friends, is very unusual.
We think Pudge may move on to the available page pretty quickly, so sponsor him asap to help pay for his neuter and other expenses. Tell him that brown is beautiful. Click on his beautiful, unusual face to make a Paypal pledge. |
