All together now! "Porkchop, Porkchop…greasy, greasy…we're gonna fix you up…nice and easy!"
Well, we're hoping it will be nice and easy to fix up this Porkchop. Once again loyal supporters, we are relying on your generous help for another frog in need.
When our foster dad raced on down to the shelter to pick up his newest charge, it was immediately evident that this girl was a winner. He could see beyond her horrible skin condition, irritated eyes and apparent ear infection that she was one very sweet, loving frog! And what a stunner she will be once she's all fixed up!
Displaying a beautiful temperament, Porkchop waited patiently at the vet office for her appointment, behaving very appropriately toward all the other pets in the waiting room. She was pure sugar toward the veterinary staff, enduring all the poking and prodding, and that sweetness has just continued right on into her foster home. She has been introduced to the resident Frenchies through a baby gate and it was a lovely meeting with no ill will on anyone's part! Porkchop has even settled in so nicely that she's been cuddled up in bed with foster mom who's been under the weather for the last few days!
Foster pops is now in the throes of doctoring up Miss Porkchop, and with a laundry list of problems, he's got his work cut out for him. She's got medication to get rid of those nasty hookworms, antibiotics to work magic on her urinary tract, skin and ear infections, and an antihistamine to try and calm the itchies and also relieve some of her eye redness. She has already received a long, skin-soothing spa bath, and foster dad has switched her to a grain-free diet to see if that provides her poor skin with any comfort.
