Pooter is here! FBRN received a call from a shelter about a handsome five month-old brindle boy who was surrendered by a good Samaritan who had too many rescued dogs of her own. The shelter staff have entrusted us with Pooter’s rehabilitation and placement, and we won’t let them down! We will do what’s right by this boy, and we hope you will help.

When this little peanut arrived at the shelter, the attentive staff discovered that poor Pooter has a prolapsed rectum. A little bit of an embarrassing problem to say the least, but Pooter has a great attitude about it.

While in foster care Pooter will be treated for his leaky back end. His loving and patient foster mom doesn’t get angry; she just worries about the sweet boy and is awaiting more information from the vet about a possible diagnosis and treatment. His foster mom is committed to getting to the bottom of the problem, but until then, she is cleaning poo with one hand and petting Pooter with the other. We hope that soon Pooter will be able to play and cuddle diaper-free.

Pooter is such a swell little guy! His foster momma says that Pooter is the sweetest and easiest to get along with Frenchie that there ever was. Pooter loves kids and dogs of all kinds. He is also a champion cuddler. Happy he is, despite his early hardships.

Pooter will need vet care, and time to experience life with a loving family before he will be ready to join his forever home. Please share in Pooter’s rehabilitation by following his story, and also donating a dollar or two (or three or four) to help with the cost of his care. This playing, leaking, and cuddling boy would sure appreciate your support!
