Pikey is ready to welcome the new year with a new life! This froggy sweetheart lived as breeder and was traded like a cheap commodity in the marketplace until a Good Samaritan rescued him and handed him over to FBRN.
As soon as Pikey came into FBRN, it was revealed that this poor boy bled excessively every single time he went potty, and a speedy trip to the vet revealed a suspicious lump near his anus. Surgery was quickly arranged, and thankfully the lump was not cancer!
He is currently recovering and settling into his central Iowa foster home. While the few short weeks in FBRN’s care have been a roller coaster, the constant in all this has been Pikey’s wonderful attitude. He gets along well with other dogs and is an expert at charming people.
