Newport is a five or six year old neutered male surrendered due to his former owner's lack of time, and trouble with housebreaking. He had a full session with the vet upon his arrival in foster care and we learned that he has some painful ear inflammation, an ear infection, some minor skin issues and a nasty looking cyst on his right back foot. The vet flushed his ears and lots of crud came out. Newport was started on a round of antibiotics. He does have a head tilt, but the vet believes it will get better once his ears are clear.

This sweetheart of a frog is a love sponge but is shy when people approach (we think he may fear having his painful ears touched.) He loves the Frenchie girls in his foster home - maybe a little too much because one of them had to give him “what for” a few times already. Newport looked shocked when this happened – he couldn’t believe she would rebuff a suitor of his caliber! With the exception of “a certain snooty Frenchie dame” Newport seems to really get along with everyone, from kids to kitties and everything in between.

So far no accidents in the house (but it’s still early!)

Newport could use some loving care and financial support as he gets his painful ears sorted out and learns a few new tricks. He would love to have you as his personal sponsor. Won’t you click on his photo and make a donation?
