Well! Hellooooo, Minerva! Let’s all shout a big "hello" to our latest pretty pied girl!
Minerva is a 2004 model, making her about eight years old and already in need of some minor repairs. In her previous life she had undergone surgery to repair a torn CCL. Now Minerva has a rather large mass hanging from her front leg, and will most likely need some dental work as well. We’ll see what her vet has to say about all this after her first exam.
All in all, these health concerns are not too bad for a former backyard breeder. Minerva was surrendered when she was no longer useful; apparently she was deemed to be a less than impressive mommy and given away to a young couple. After a few years, Minerva was surrendered to us as that family’s situation changed and they could no longer keep her. And we are absolutely delighted to have her!
Arriving at her foster home with a ginormous bag of her own belongings, Minerva already has a bed that she absolutely loves, tons of toys and a collar and leash! Much to the resident kitties’ relief, Minerva had previously been living with five cats in her previous home and just adores her feline friends! She has been reported to be dog aggressive, but so far foster mom has only seen reactivity, so she’ll be keeping an eye on that. One thing foster mom does know for certain is Minerva does not like to be by herself! Quiet as a church mouse when she's with her people, but when her person is out of sight, watch out! Minerva is quite the vocal girl!
Although she has an overflowing suitcase of her own, Minerva will still need a heartworm test, mani/pedi, and will incur some vet bills. Do you have anything you’d like to offer this sweet girl? Just click on her pretty face and let us know it’s for Minerva. Thanks for all your support! |
