May we have your attention please?! FBRN would like to present to you…Maya! She is the latest foster in a seemingly endless line of itchy, petite frog princesses who have arrived into our family as of late.
Not only is Maya itchy and uncomfortable, but she looks just plain awful as well. There will be no cute summertime mani/pedis in this girl’s future; the skin on her feet is thickened and missing hair from so much licking and irritation. Maybe a funky, floppy beach hat, though, as her poor ears will need protecting. They are all closed up, hairless and thick due to the untreated allergies, and Maya cannot hear at all.
Foster momma jumped into Maya’s treatment with both feet, getting this latest princess on skin nourishing supplements, a skin soothing balm, a high quality diet and an antihistamine. She reports that Maya is feeling marginally better already, but a visit to the vet to get that irritated skin under control is priority.
So far Maya has proven herself to be the ideal houseguest. She is simply sweet, sweet, SWEET! Maya loves people and has enjoyed playing with the resident dogs in her foster home. Sounds just perfect to us!
