Please join us in welcoming Magnum to the growing family of FBRN foster frogs! Magnum’s previous family decided that with a baby on the way, Magnum would be better suited to a home that could dedicate more time and attention to this brindle boy.
The seven year-old Magnum is adapting well to his new surroundings—not a difficult task as his days are filled with playing, good meals, and spa time! The resident Boston Terrier has laid out the welcome wagon for him with spurts of intense play followed by hours of napping together. Magnum is not at all bothered by the resident children, ages two and three, who also play hard. Magnum did make an unsuccessful attempt at stealing their lunch, though he didn’t make it past the watchful eye of his foster mama! Magnum seems to be enjoying all the activity and attention; he likes to be near the pack of dogs, toddlers, and humans!
Magnum underwent his wellness exam with no fuss at all. The vet prescribed some eye drops for some irritation, and examined his head, which has a slight tilt, though it doesn’t seem to pose a problem. Magnum is underweight, and wasn’t interested in the brand of food that he had previously eaten. But, the smell of the natural food the dogs in his foster home eat had him drooling, so his foster mom is transitioning him. Now, Magnum eats with gusto! The vet also prescribed some medicated shampoo for twice-weekly baths to address Magnum’s flaky, irritated skin. His first bath brought him some instant relief, and he even began warming up to his foster mom as she massaged his irritated skin.
Magnum has accompanied his foster mama to the office, and between naps he loves posing for pictures!
