Welcome Madie to the FBRN family! She's another peewee froggie dog. Madie was surrendered to FBRN because the owners’ son had some yucky allergies to this little girl, so off she came to FBRN to see if we could find a home where she was nothing to sneeze at.
Madie is a sweet little girl with rather silly proportions. She has adorably large ears and a little bitty mouth. She also has a big body but little stubby legs. Somehow it all comes together to just make the perfect package of cute. She loves life and is a bundle of energy. In fact, she’s got so much energy that she’ll climb over chairs or even an X-Pen if there isn’t an eagle eye checking out her every move. What a minx!
Madie gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, as long as she isn’t in the X-Pen. If she is, she goes into defending territory mode and shows her less lovely side. Her foster mom will be working with her so that she understands she will now have whatever she needs, and she doesn’t need to protect what’s “hers.” Madie also seems to have something wonky going on with her legs. She was walking fine one day, then seemed unable to walk the next, and is now walking just fine again. It looks like she might have some spinal issues that need to be addressed, and the pain meds she was on might have been covering up a more serious problem. This is one mystery that must be solved, so Madie will be getting some good veterinary attention to figure out just what the heck is going on.
In the meantime, this pint-sized lady will be soaking up the love and preparing for her forever home. If you’d like to help us figure out Madie’s back issues and get her back on the road to recovery with a spring in her step, please make a donation by clicking her picture on the right. We hope that soon Madie will be jumping for joy! |
