Lorna has come back to FBRN to try again. Lorna's dad found his work time increasing until Lorna was spending too many hours alone in her kennel waiting for her dad to come home. He realized it was not fair to this sweet girl to be left alone so much, and he surrendered her back to FBRN. A loving dad, he wanted her to "just be happy," and we'll do our darnedest to find the perfect fit for this friendly pied girl.

Lorna is happy and energetic, loves going 'walkies' and hanging out on the porch, and she enthusiastically greets every one who comes her way. She looks and acts healthy ...except for one delicate (and painful) problem. Lorna's lady parts are giving her a hard time right now. A trip to the doctor confirmed she had an infected ulcerated vulva. She had an antibiotic shot and will be given a daily wash of Chlorhex and a daily liquid dose of Metacam to get her feeling better in short order. She will have a follow-up visit in a couple of weeks to make sure the issue is resolving and to determine whether there are any further issues for Lorna in that area.

Lorna is a doll through and through. Despite feeling kind of icky, she is cheerful and happy to be with people and getting the attention she so craves. She should be headed to the available page as soon as her medical concern is sorted out. It has been reported that she doesn't fancy other female pooches, so we'll see if that holds true in her foster home as well. Lorna will be tip top and feeling groovy in no time, but she would be ever-so-grateful for a little help with that problem-that-shall-not-be-named.
