Please give a warm welcome to Lavender. She found herself in a high kill shelter after being picked up as a down and out little stray on the streets of Las Vegas. Her microchip was traced back to her breeder, who after being contacted, decided not to claim her. Well, all the better for FBRN because we’re delighted to have her!

Lavender is suffering from a very itchy and painful skin infection that the vet suspects is Sarcoptic Mange or Demodex. Because of the skin infection, Lavender will have to wait to be spayed. We were very grateful that the shelter trusted us to take her without spaying her, because her skin condition is so poor that surgical incisions might have really complicated her care. Lavender’s walks are also kept short right now because her feet are so tender from the skin infection. She is being treated for her skin issues and has been given heartworm preventative.

So far, Lavender is doing well in her crate and has shown her foster mom that she absolutely loves going for rides in the car! Whatever it takes to show this sweet girl there is a better life than where she came from, her foster mom is happy to do. This girl's luck is about to change in a mighty big way. Lavender will need a lot of TLC and medical attention to get her ready to find her forever home. Won’t you click on her picture to make a donation towards her journey in finding her own forever home? In return, next time you're in Nevada, we'll let her blow on your dice!
