Junior has made a great deal of progress. He is, in the experience of his dog-trainer foster mom, the very worst case of canine Obsessive Compulsive Disorder she has ever seen. Though his responses to low-level stimula are especially good, and he can catch himself before he goes into a tizzy, Junior is still set off by loud and unexpected sounds. We may explore the possibility of using a pharmaceutical to help take the edge off his distress so that he can pay attention to commands and relate to his foster mom even when there are intense distractions. His foster mom remains encouraged overall, and continues to work with him with the hope that he can one day be placed in a loving home.

A new settler has landed in Pennsylvania! He's our very own Junior, and we welcome him with open arms. This little boy is a fine, healthy brindle.

He was surrendered to FBRN because his previous owners felt he was becoming aggressive. They'd sought help from a trainer, but were unable to make improvements in his behavior. The family decided to surrender Junior for fear that he might bite.

This poor fellow is deathly afraid of any electric buzzer. The mere sound of the dryer buzzer will send him flying out of his skin and over the top of his exercise pen. This is no way for a Frenchie to live! His foster mom says he has the worst case of obsessive/compulsive disorder she has ever seen.

We continue to explore training options with Junior, and we have seen some improvement. He is a long-term project, however, and we are considering the use of pharmaceuticals to help him become less distracted and more focused.
