Jules came into FBRN with a reputation of a bad girl, but she’s working hard on proving she is a very good girl who just needed a bit of guidance. Jules bit people in her former home, and as a way of coping, her former family set her up in a permanent pen that kept everyone safe, but unfortunately allowed for very little contact or socialization. Luckily, the family learned about FBRN and lovingly decided to give Jules a second chance at a more normal life.

Jules is now in foster care with a trainer who is finding that despite her isolation, she has great social skills with other dogs and loves to engage them in play. Jules takes a little while to warm up and trust people but is progressing nicely and so far is showing promise. She bonded quickly with her trainer and found bathing and grooming to be a very pleasurable experience. As we work with Jules over the coming weeks, we hope to learn more about why this girl felt threatened enough to bite. We do know that one incident happened when a well meaning person took her head in his hands and rubbed her cheeks back and forth then tried to kiss her face. This can be a very intimidating experience for a dog, and with no chance to retreat, Jules bit.

Jules seems to enjoy all forms of interaction with her trainer; she knows basic commands, is housebroken and loves to play with toys. She sits nicely for treats and wants to be a good girl given the chance. Please consider sponsoring this pretty girl by clicking on her picture on the right. Leave her a note of encouragement as we all need a second chance and a little help sometimes.

Jules
