Jolie was purchased by two young people from a woman who was living in her pickup truck. For $350, they got a malnourished seven year-old breeder with heartworm, multiple c-section scars, a hernia at her c-section site, badly infected ears, a flea-infested coat and a pitiful little face that begged to be loved and cared for properly.
When the couple learned the extent of the dog's medical problems, they decided to turn her over to FBRN and let us help this poor girl. We welcomed her with open arms and we are in the process of treating her heartworm and getting rid of her parasites and ear infections. When Jolie is stronger and has some healthy flesh on her frame, we'll see about having her spayed and repairing her hernia.
