Meet our newest Yankee fan, Joba , named for Yankee pitcher Joba Chamberlain. Joba arrived in the care of FBRN with his baseball bed and since he's living in Yankee territory and it's baseball season, we thought a new name for a new start was the ticket!
Joba is a handsome two year old, cream, intact male Frenchie who will be visiting the vet promptly for a wellness checkup and to be neutered. He was given to a friend of his original family because of shedding. The friend contacted us due to behavioral concerns. It is rumored that Joba was aggressive towards the resident Frenchies, unkind to a family bird and had bitten someone who intervened during a dog tussle. In foster care, we have observed none of the aforementioned behavior. In fact, Joba has been practically perfect along with absolutely gorgeous. He has been a perfect gentleman in foster care, nurturing a recovering Frenchie and enticing a kitty to play. Heck, he even likes the human baby in his foster home- giving kisses and flopping on his back while the family plays on the floor. We're sure he isn't perfect, but so far other than marking his area we haven't seen any undesirable behavior from Joba.
This guy is like a kangaroo. He can clear a baby gate as though it didn't exist and ends up in the room you had designated off limits. We will monitor Joba and his behavior in the coming weeks for any change in his temperament in different situations. So far, so good for the newest Yankee fan. If you would like to sponsor Joba so that he may purchase his own Yankee collar and tee shirt please click on his photo. Sorry Red Sox fans, Joba rules!
