Jack has been adopted by his foster family. We are grateful they decided to keep him, and they will love him as long as his heart condition allows him to stay with them.
We welcome Jack, a peanut of a Frenchie with a big personality and a lot of love to give, to our FBRN family. Jack didn’t see eye to eye with the dogs in his previous home, and his former mom made a very difficult decision to ask FBRN to find him a new home. We appreciate the trust she has shown us, because Jack has a big heart problem. While his heart may be full of love, he also has pulmonary stenosis. A severe case of it. His former mom spent a lot of time getting Jack checked out and it was determined that he would not have survived the surgery to fix the problem. Although he was very, very loved, it stressed him out too much to live with the resident dogs in his former home. We promise that we will take wonderful care of Jack.
Jack is a small Frenchie, weighing in at 15 lbs. He is learning to wear a belly band, and until it can be determined if he can be safely neutered, that will stay. On the occasion that he can wiggle out of it, he proudly presents it to his foster mom.
He is sleeping well and is good in his crate, loves his stuffies and his Nylabones. He likes to lay on his back and juggle several stuffies in the air; quite the clown is Jack. He likes to snuggle in for naps, sleeping on his back, with a big upside down smile on his face!
He also likes to give “hugs”. He will be on your lap and decide he wants to crawl up your chest and land on your shoulder and kind of nuzzle you...it’s very cute.
We need to find out a little more about Jack and his needs. He will be visiting several vets in the next few weeks and his foster mom will be learning what he can tolerate and what stresses him out. Its obvious Jack was well loved by his former family, and that he has a lot of love to give.
Jack will be racking up the medical bills, so if you would like to help out this little clown, he is sure to appreciate it. Please click on the picture and let us know it is for our own little jester! |
