Big, brawny Hummer just rolled into town. Less than two years old, this tough little model is not having a good time finding a permanent place to park. For the first fifteen months of his life, he lived outdoors in Florida in a back yard. Despite his all-terrain namesake, that is a lot of heat for a little frog. He was rescued, dirty and covered with ticks, by a Good Samaritan family. They took wonderful care of his needs, getting him all car-wash clean and detailed including a dental, neutering, and shots. They thought they would be able to socialize him and keep him forever. They did a great job socializing him with people, but Hummer and their resident English bulldog could never see eye-to-eye. Life together was getting to be a demolition derby, and Hummer had to go before either of the boys sustained real damage.
Hummer is settling well into his foster home, and his experienced foster parents are already making inroads. As they introduce him slowly to the others in the pack, it appears that his aggression is fear-based since he was isolated at an early age and never learned how to get along with others. Before too long, with loving guidance, Hummer will be ready to head out on the highway to his forever home.
This Hummer is no clunker, and is well worthy of some of your cash. Won’t you please donate a little for his care by clicking on his manly little mug to the right? Thank you! |
