Hugo is a six year-old cream-colored Frenchie given up by his owners because of aggression. He has a bite history. He also has allergy problems, and is on Atopica, a very expensive medication that seems to be working well for him. Hugo gets along well with other dogs, and although he is interested in cats, does not bother them...unless they run, of course! His favorite thing seems to be riding in the car - he would really love to be a bus driver or long distance trucker. He sits nicely in his car seat and gazes out the window for miles and miles. If approached properly, Hugo loves butt scratches and gentle petting, though he is sensitive about his head due to medical care he has received for multiple ear infections and irritated facial folds. Hugo walks nicely on a leash and is housebroken. A professional trainer evaluated Hugo and felt that he is a great dog and just needs the proper calm and consistent treatment to learn to trust. This will be FBRN's job while Hugo is in foster care, and we are committed to prepare him for a loving, forever home. Dogs with aggression issues have a difficult road - please take a moment to support dear Hugo and make his ride smoother.
