Holly is originally from a Nebraska puppy mill and is approximately 8-9 years old. She was surrendered to the MidAmerican Boston Terrier Rescue along with a group of Bostons. From there, Holly was adopted but was re-surrendered because of problems coexisting with an English Bulldog. This may have been due to her extreme need for attention and inexperience in a home setting.

In foster care, Holly has been sweet and well-behaved. She is starved for attention from her years in a puppy mill, and dives into her foster parents' laps whenever she can, making delighted snorty sounds as they rub her ears.

Physically, Holly is extremely underweight (less than 20 lbs), but four square meals a day is already starting to remedy that. She is gaining weight and energy, and enjoys her short walks with her foster dad. We think she'll have a lovely, healthy, plump and athletic Frenchie figure before too long!

Aside from the weight, Holly's vet exam (during which she behaved like an angel) revealed a golf ball size mass on her lower abdomen. She is being treated with antibiotics to rule out the possibility that it is an infection from her recent spay. If it doesn't clear up, she will likely need surgery to remove it.

If you are able, please click on Holly's photo above to help pay for her vet care – and lots and lots of healthy food!
