Who is your superHERO? Why, Hero the French bulldog, of course! Hero is one big delectable frogdog—all 39.5 pounds of him! His foster momma is sure he is the biggest Frenchie she’s ever met, and upon meeting him exclaimed that Hero is the “Emperor of all Frenchies!” One of our FBRN grads, the equally portly Jubal chimed in to say, “Frenchies of size are worthy of LOVE!”
Hero had been purchased by a young person who had hoped to resell him for a profit, but his family called us when he couldn’t be sold. We are so glad to welcome the big guy to FBRN! Hero’s walk is a bit wobbly, as he experienced some past paralysis in his hind legs, and he needs to be treated for Lyme disease. Hero came with medical records and medication, and he’s already on his way to becoming a new and improved hero!
There’s nothing small about Hero—he’s a double feature, super-sized, a Dagwood sandwich with all the fixins’. As you can see from the photos, Hero is smiling - but don’t you agree that he might have a penchant for mischief? Right now he thinks we are collecting money for his CAPE, so Shh, don’t tell him that it’s really for his vet CARE! Hero’s already practicing his quick costume change, and while he can’t run at the speed of light, we’ll give him props for trying. We know you just can’t resist Hero’s superpowers, so click on his picture, and drop a little somethin’ in his basket! And who knows, perhaps a costumed Hero will appear on the blog in time for Hallowe'en? For a dollar or two, he just might!
