Goji was picked up from an animal shelter by one of our wonderful FBRN volunteers, and it is obvious that this little guy has missed out on some serious attention! Goji was found wandering the streets with a couple of lady friends. The girls have been moved to other rescue organizations while Goji is settling into his foster home in Michigan.
Goji's foster mom tells us that he is a wonderful passenger in the car and is very friendly and super-sweet. He has also been sleeping quietly in his crate with no complaints. Goji has done well with the children in his foster home and will meet the resident dogs once he gets settled.
Sadly, Goji is heartworm positive. Right now his heart and lungs sound good, which is great news! Goji also has a slight cherry eye, round worms, and a tumor that had to be removed from his leg. Goji is just so happy all the time, you'd never know he had any problems. We know his foster mom will have him all fixed up in no time!
Like his namesake (a fighter pilot from Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Goji is going to have a bit of a fight ahead of him.
