Elka was surrendered to FBRN over the holidays when her family could no longer care for her.
Elka was a little rough around the edges when she came into rescue. She was overdue by at least 3 years for a much-needed dental. Thankfully, Elka's vet had a surgery cancel and was able to take her in right away. After having nearly all her teeth removed and severely infected ears treated, Elka is feeling much, much better.
Elka is learning what it's like to be loved in her foster home. She doesn't quite know what to think of her foster fur siblings and is trying to figure out what all this petting and snuggling is all about. Don't worry Elka, FBRN foster families are pros when it comes to showing lots of love!
