According to Boudreaux’s foster dad, he is the perfect dog! That is, if your idea of the perfect dog has cauliflower ears and skin allergies.
Boudreaux is going to spend some quality time with us for a second go ‘round, while he patiently waits for the perfect forever home he knows is out there. Seems that things didn’t work out the first time – sometimes these things happen – but that just gives his foster dad time to thoroughly enjoy this boy.
A super smart and obedient guy, Boudreaux is already crate trained, housebroken and knows some basic commands. He is a total ball freak who will wear both himself and foster dad out with a never ending game of fetch. He is all you could ask for in a companion of any sort: playful, energetic, loyal, loving, docile and easy going. Foster dad reports that Boudreaux gets along with everyone including other dogs and kitties. His cauliflower ears, sticky-outey tongue and cocked head just add to the charm of this sweet boy.
In the long term, Boudreaux will require some loving care to manage his allergies. Most likely he will need weekly medicated baths, special diets, as well as an ever changing regime of allergy medications to keep him comfortable. This week he even had a vaccine reaction at the vet’s office which resulted in vomiting and severe hives, so he won't be getting vaccines anymore! However, his allergy issue is relatively minor in relation to how much love Boudreaux has to offer his forever family in return.
Boudreaux is going to be enjoying the autumn with his foster dad while he throws endless tennis balls and works on figuring out a regime that works well for his skin. Have you got a dollar or two you’d like to toss Boudreaux’s way for his vet expenses? Or perhaps a new ball? Just click on his silly mug and tell us it’s for Boudreaux. He’ll appreciate it and so do we!
