Belle is one of the Texas 13, and like the others she came in with, she’s a sweetie. When her foster mom is home, Belle Starr is near, trailing her like a comet’s tail and touching her if she sits down to work at the desk or watch tv.
She has picked up on the idea of housebreaking, and she also loves leashwalks when the temperature drops from sizzling to something less hard on the pawpads. Belle is a sensible girl, and if the weather gets too hot, she plops and stays plopped until it cools off.
Belle is a keen observer of life in her foster home and has quickly picked up on what treats are and how to wait politely for her turn. She has no problems with her foster siblings, and even Stinky Cat, the kitty, is welcome to share her plopping place.
She’s so comfy at her foster home that when she was left at the groomer’s for a spa day, she panicked a bit. Belle’s foster mom is working with her to help her understand that car rides aren’t always portents of abandonment or shots.
Speaking of shots, Belle has no big time health issues apart from dry eye that will have to be addressed with drops for the remainder of her life. Belle is great about sitting still for her eye drops and eyewashes, and she was great at the groomers, too.
