Introducing Alena! One member of the Wisconsin 4, that were a breeder surrender. This sweet gal came into FBRN not a moment too soon. Approximately seven years ago, at the age of two, Alena was vaccinated. Shortly thereafter, she developed a 'growth' on her back at the injection site. She also lost all the fur on her back, face, feet and legs. To our knowledge, Alena has never been treated for this growth or condition. She also has severely infected ears.

Upon arriving into her Guardian Angel's care, Alena was treated to a much needed Pyoben Shampoo bath. As reported, Alena couldn't get enough of the gentle scrubbing and leaned into her foster mom for more! In addition to Alena's poor skin condition, she is almost completely blind and has limited hearing. Her foster mom says in spite of this she gets around okay. Alena doesn't need to see or hear well to let her foster mom know she loves her blankies and really loves her belly rubs!

Alena's extremely poor condition will require many vet visits and extensive care to get her even feeling comfortable in her own skin. If you can spare any amount to help this deserving girl, please click on her picture to make a donation. Thank you for your generous support!
