"Wilma came from a commercial breeding background where she was not given the medical care she needed. As a result, the poor girl came to us with horrible ear problems. After extensive treatment, she is well and feels great. Wilma was my first commercial breeding operation foster and it has been a very rewarding experience to see her come to life in front of our eyes. She was a sick and shy girl when she came to us. Once she got to feeling better her personality came out and she's been a delight ever since. This is seriously the easiest girl, so low key and low maintenance. There is no drama with this girl; it's all just fun and love! She's so cute and I love her slow, sassy saunter. She is low energy but will surprise you with these bursts of energy and play. She is a darling and you will love her sweet, quirky personality. She will cuddle with you and love you to pieces!"
These words are straight from the mouth of her foster momma! Can you possibly ask for a more loving, sweet, easygoing girl? If a slow, sassy, couch cuddler is just what you're looking for, then read on, because you may just be Wilma's perfect match!
Surrendered when she could no longer produce puppies, Wilma is a remarkably healthy, well-adjusted lady. She has no temperament or aggression issues and has proven herself friendly and gentle with everyone she's met. Even toddlers! Due to her previous ear condition, Wilma will need an adopter who is committed to keeping her ears clean and monitoring them for any potential problems. Foster mom thinks Wilma may be a bit hard of hearing but indicates that once she does realize you are speaking to her she minds you right away.
Wilma has coexisted beautifully with the resident dogs in her foster home, initiating play and having a grand old time. She doesn't participate in marathon play sessions as she tires easily, but she does enjoy the company of the others. A forever home with laid back dogs Wilma's size would be fabulous as she did have a negative reaction to a larger dog, jumping at him and acting very fearful.
A seriously easy keeper, just give Wilma a Nylabone and she's happy as a clam! She always seems to have one hanging out of her mouth and will work on one for hours. She also enjoys chasing balls with bells and playing with squeaky toys and stuffies. Wilma is also a great eater who loves her food!
Any home would be a good fit for Wilma as she is such a laid back, simple girl. She doesn't need much exercise; a slow ramble around the neighborhood would be fine, but no power walkers, please! Playing with other dogs or wandering the yard on a nice day would satisfy her, thankyouverymuch. She is potty trained and extremely reliable, even going so far as ringing a bell hanging from the door as her signal to be let out! Wilma is even crate trained and has never had an accident in her crate.
Wilma loves to sleep a lot, so a person who works from home would be perfectly reasonable, as long as she was offered a mid-day break. She would also be the perfect office companion as she is flexible, quiet and mellow! Give her a bed and a Nylabone and Wilma would be happy to hang out with you in your office space. She would be excellent for first time Frenchie owners because she adapts well to any situation and every person. Wilma just goes with the flow. Nothing seems to get her upset or make her uncomfortable.
Are you in love with Wilma yet? If so, please apply for her! You should be ready to take a car trip to Tennessee to pick her up because Wilma will not be shipped; but don't worry – she adores riding in her car seat!
