Stoli is a sweet 7 year-old frog surrendered by her family when they ran into financial trouble. It is becoming such a familiar refrain for many of our foster frogs in these tough economic times. Fortunately for Stoli, she ended up with a loving foster family who has helped her through this transition and is prepared to help her find her forever family.

Stoli is a laid-back frog who really enjoys hanging out with her people.

The refrain from Cheers seems to serve her well. She’s happy where everyone knows her name AND everyone loves her right back. She follows her foster mom from room to room to keep her company in case she gets lonely, and prefers to be in your lap. If a lap isn’t available, you’ll find her plastered to your side. Stoli is a frog who would do well in many environments, as long as her few needs are understood and attended to. She would do well staying home with her person or commuting to work.

She sits nicely in her dog seat and wears her seat belt. She could live in an apartment as long as she had frequent walks. At 7, this stately lady doesn’t feel the need to explore the neighborhood like the younger set, but a fenced yard is always preferred. Stoli is crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night as well as while her person is away from her.

Stoli has a minor medical problem that is 100% controlled by inexpensive (less than $10/month) medication. If she doesn't take medication she will leak some urine. If she takes it - ta-da - no leaking! Not a big deal by any stretch of the imagination. Frequent walks play a part in her urinary health, too, and she will sit by the door to tell you she needs to go out. She’ll need a forever person who can let her out often and make sure she gets her meds. That's it. Otherwise she is a healthy frog and needs only routine veterinary check-ups!

Stoli likes other dogs, as long as they understand that she is in charge. She is a dominant frog and expects her subjects to obey her rules! She could live with another dog as long as her companions were of the laid-back, submissive type. When it comes to cats and small animals however, Stoli feels that they were put on the earth to chase, and that’s exactly what she will do. She’ll need a home free of cats and other small creatures. She wouldn’t mind living with children as long as they are older and not prone to the quick, sudden unexpected movements that younger children make. Over ten years of age should do it.

Also on Stoli’s list of things to be avoided are the vet and horrendous nail clippers. She does not like visiting her doctor and really despises getting her nails done. Her person will have to be strong and explain to Stoli that these things are for her own good, and are not to be avoided.

The number one thing on Stoli’s list of likes is her person. She adores being with her people and will make an excellent friend and loyal companion for her new family. She will take over your lap, keeping you warm through the winter, and always greet you with a smile and lot of love. Who could resist that? She also loves her toys. She prefers Nylabones and other chew toys, especially when she is waiting for her person to return. It’s a poor substitute at best for her person, but Stoli tries to make do.

Her foster mom sent along these words about Stoli:

“Stoli is a very sweet and loving little girl who wants nothing more than to be loved and to love in return! Her human's lap is where she wants to be as often as possible, and when she can’t be in your lap she wants be right at your side! Stoli is a beautiful little girl inside and out!

She adapts quickly to new people and new situations.”

Stoli is watching the Colorado wildflowers bloom from the comfort of the couch and her foster family’s lap. She will not be shipped. Plan on a trip to bring her home, and she promises to wear her seatbelt!
