Feisty, free-spirited Onjolie is anxiously awaiting a new start in her life as a footloose and fancy free frenchie with a new and improving attitude. Onji has made progress in the areas of manners and acceptable frenchie behavior, with room for continued improvement. We are looking for the 'just right' family, as Onjolie has been rehomed twice in her four years.

Onjolie has much to offer, but please bear in mind she is a frenchie best suited to a family accustomed to life with a strong-willed dog. Anyone interested in Onjolie must commit to leadership, enforcing rules, and frenchie etiquette when adopting our little frog. She will test the waters, but is easily corrected with consistent supervision. It sounds like a little work, and it is, but we promise with structure and schedule, Onjolie will learn what is expected of her and surprise you with her eagerness to learn and please. She's a smart, sassy gal!

Onjolie is a healthy girl who is not living with children but is sharing space with kitties. She also tolerates dogs her size or larger in her foster home. Tolerates them yes, but would live happily ever after as your only frenchie. She does display both food and crate aggression. She must be fed separately from other animals or a tussle will certainly ensue. She also will charge another dog with barking and bossiness if one ventures near her prized crate. The resource guarding of both food and crate will escalate into an altercation if unsupervised. Onjolie would appreciate some in-home obedience training allowing both owner and frenchie to work together in an effort to establish boundaries, while building self esteem through obedience and training.

Presently Onji is accustomed to being crated throughout the workday. She will require an experienced petsitter/ dogwalker who would follow guidelines established by the family for noon time outings. A fenced yard would be perfect for exercise and time outdoors. Onji should not have off leash time or a romp at the neighborhood dog park.

Following additional work on manners and behavior, Onji may be invited to join you at the office. She is housetrained and enjoys quietly playing with her toys and chewies. You could probably place a little comfy doggy bed under your desk and she might dream the day away.

This is a special girl who will benefit from consistency, and more important, continuity. She deserves a forever home where she can hang her leash, unpack her photos and lose her suitcase. If you can provide her with these special requirements, please plan on travel to the state of Missouri, as Onji will not be shipped.
