Olaf, our handsome young Swedish meatball, has been turning heads and drawing attention since the day he entered foster care. The Frenchie ladies swoon, the Frenchie men look away in envy and the humans are the worst, constantly hoping to catch a peek or pet this gorgeous guy. Can one Frenchie have it all: looks, health, temperament, and personality? Olaf can and Olaf does.

Olaf entered rescue needing a little help in the areas of training and housebreaking. His foster family is pleased with his progress and hopes his new family will continue with his schedule, keeping Olaf on track. Olaf has been trained to use the doggy door. Only one tinkle accident and an occasional present on the carpet since his arrival in foster care; not bad for baby Olaf.

Olaf dines daily on a raw diet (information is available for his forever family.) As there are some foods that upset his tummy, it is important that his new family be agreeable to continuing this diet. We've noticed he may have some hearing loss, so a hearing test may be scheduled. We are unclear if there is actual loss of hearing, or if Olaf is simply choosing not to hear things he might rather ignore.

He is a gentle goofball, loving life and all that it offers. He plays quite nicely in foster care with the tiny resident male chihuahua and the huge female mastiff. He finds the resident kitties a fascinating diversion, but the kitties have decided to remain safely seated on top of the furniture while Olaf remains on the floor.

Nothing can escape Olaf, he is a puppy with lots of playful energy! He is constantly in motion. Sniffing the flowers, the grass, pre-cleaning the dishes while you're loading the dishwasher, licking your toes after a shower, and the entire time he carries around a toy to drop and find all over again. Life is a circus for Olaf, and he is the main performer.

Our hope is for a home with kids and dogs, and lots of playtime with an occasional romp at the dog park. He walks so proudly on leash, and with his charismatic personality he will draw in plenty of new pooch and people friends.

Olaf is hoping to gain freedom for house privileges outside of his crate. He has been snuggling nightly with his family in foster care. One look at that face promising to be a good boy, and no more nightly crating for baby O! Olaf understands some basic commands but will appreciate continued training.

Just as wonderful as his looks are, is his temperament. Olaf has absolutely no temperament issues, he loves everybody and everything so much that he can play and share with all the resident dogs in harmony. He wrestles with his buddies, rolls in the grass, chews on rawhides and bully sticks and then looks for new and exciting adventures. Olaf is accustomed to a fenced yard with a doggy door ensuring continued success in the housetraing department. If these accommodations aren't available, then Olaf must have a scheduled noon-time visit in his new home for continued crate training and potty manners.

Olaf would love to spend his day at the office, though his energy level and curiosity may be a concern as you will find he will not be happy tucked into a doggy bed under your desk.

Olaf is currently residing in sunny Arizona waiting for your application and approval. You will need to pack for a warmer climate when retrieving this boy, as he will not be shipped.
