Mr. Big was literally "Walking in Memphis" all by his lonely self. It’s unlikely that he ever made it to Beale Street, though. For sure, he didn’t have any blue suede shoes. Picked up as a stray by the Humane Society, Mr. Big experienced the city famous for blues and barbecue from the perspective of a little lost frogdog, and it wasn’t pretty!

After some serious R&R with one of FBRN’s loving foster families, the skies are looking significantly brighter for the handsome Mr. Big. This gentlemanly frog is ready to go home for good. And Mr. Big, folks, is a wonderful, good as gold, very special boy who deserves the best of all possible homes.

A handsome dark brindle with a massive head and shoulders, Mr. Big weighs in at an impressive thirty-two pounds. All cleaned up and slicked back, the only physical remnant of his neglected past are his poor little back feet. They are hairless, and one has an inverted pad with the nail growing straight North.

Nothing in his past has spoiled his nature, though. Did we mention he was a WONDERFUL boy?! Well, he definitely is. He has excellent social skills and melts the hearts of all he meets. One of his favorite pastimes is riding in a truck. He sits up to look out the window for a while, and the lies down, just enjoyin’ the ride.

Rough and tumble at play, Big enjoys a rousing game of tug. He’ll carry his rope toy through the house, looking for someone to play with him. He can hold his own with his foster brother, a German Shepherd. He shares his toys and enjoys both large and small dogs. If there are smaller dogs in his forever home, his family will have to control the play so he doesn’t hurt them with his exuberance. The same holds true for cats or tiny children.

Did we mention that Mr. Big is GOOD AS GOLD?! Well, he definitely is. He is close to one hundred percent housebroken, and scratches at the door to go out. He sits and stays on command, and walks well on his leash. He will go to his crate on command, eating and sleeping there. When he is hungry, he will hop in his crate and moan piteously! Although he is so polite, Mr. Big does have one guilty pleasure he would like to share with you – he loves to lick bare toes. A girl in flip-flops is his dream!!!

Mr. Big isn’t asking for Graceland. Your humble home with lots of love would fill his heart. It will need to have a fenced yard for games of tug. You don’t have to be home all day – but it sure would be nice. At least, please come home at mid-day for a potty break and hugs. If allowed to go to work with you, he would be better than a Wal-Mart greeter. He enjoys people that much!

Only about two years old, Big does not suffer from some of the common Frenchie health woes. He is very touchy about his back feet, though. His forever family will have to use patience and positive reinforcement to earn his trust so they can touch them. Sometime later in life he may have to have work on them to keep them moving and pain free. He was heartworm positive when he arrived, but has been successfully treated. Probably a puppy mill dog, he should be handled with same consideration as a mill dog, avoiding stress.

Mr. Big is the stuff legends are made of. No longer singing the blues in Memphis, he is ready to rock your house. Put on some open-toed sandals and fire up the truck. Mr. Big is working the crowds in central Arkansas and he will not be shipped.
