Are you looking for a peaceful girl who will snuggle quietly with you while you watch television, but also need a walking partner for those after dinner strolls around the neighborhood? How about some company while you do those tedious errands such as the bank drive thru? Look no further! Momi may just be the girl for you!

Momi (pronounced Moe-mee) is a very sweet, very shy girl who was brought into our care by a Good Samaritan. She started life in the care of a local breeder, having litters of puppies, until she was sold to an elderly couple. When the wife passed away, Momi was banished to the backyard for a couple of years until the Good Samaritan rescued her.

Momi has a few minor ongoing health concerns which her forever home will have to stay on top of to ensure Momi’s long term comfort and happiness. She may get recurring ear infections, and possibly has some hearing loss due to prior infections that were left untreated. Momi has luxating patellas which are not severe and are being maintained on a Glucosamine supplement. Like many Frenchies, Momi also has mild allergies and is a victim of the yeasties. Her forever home will have to be willing to keep her on a carefully maintained diet – preferably raw – in order to help keep the yeast and ear infections under control.

The ideal home for Momi is a calm, quiet home with a retired couple or a single woman with Frenchie/flat-faced breed experience. She loves taking walks, is excellent on a leash and is a great car companion for running errands. She loves nothing more than just being with her person and snuggling up next to them on the couch. She is thrilled when her person comes home – her entire body wags and she smiles from ear to ear! How can you not love a greeting like that? Oh, and sleeping in the people bed is a must!

She currently lives with four other male canine foster siblings and gets along with them just fine. A home with another dog would be all right, provided it is a calm, quiet dog as Momi is very gentle, calm and submissive. There are no cats in Momi’s foster home so it is uncertain as to how she will react to them.

Momi is very, very shy and submissive and it will take her some time to adjust to her forever home and family. Her forever family must have patience with her and be willing to give her the time and space she needs to adjust to her new situation. It will all be worth it in the end when this sweet girl sneaks up on you, looking for butt rubs and ear scritches! Then you won’t ever be allowed to stop!

Momi has absolutely no temperament issues and has done very well with the young child in her foster home, but due to her extreme shyness youngsters make her very nervous. For this reason we feel a home with calm, respectful, dog-savvy children over 12 or teenagers only would be acceptable.

Momi is crate trained and prefers to take her meals, alone, in her crate. She is also housebroken, although her forever family should expect the occasional submissive peeing incident.

Any type of house would be fine for Momi, however a fenced yard would be preferred so that she can get out on nice days and ramble around.

Someone who works from home would be great. Momi would love nothing more than to spend her day next to her person. However, she will just as happily wait for her person to come home from work. Momi would be an unsuitable office companion as she would be too stressed due to her extreme shyness.

Momi’s foster mom has these words to add about this sweet girl: "Momi has seen the bad side of people throughout her life. In spite of it all, she remains incredibly sweet and loving. She truly is a special girl that can offer her forever home endless snuggle time and unconditional love."

Are you the perfect fit for Momi? One who can offer her the calm, patient, loving environment she deserves to spend the rest of her days in? If so, make room on your couch and apply for her. Then get ready to pick up your travel companion in Washington State, because that’s where Momi’s being fostered and she will not be shipped!
