Meredith and Kerby are two young whippersnappers who were surrendered to FBRN due to a divorce. They are happy to be together during this change, and are eager to find themselves a wonderful new home where they can stay together forever.

Meredith is a 1_ year old, 26 lb female with a gorgeous fawn coat and black mask. Kerby is a 2 year old male, is 33 lbs and is also fawn. Both dogs are healthy, up to date on vaccinations, fixed, microchipped, crate-trained, and house-trained.

Although they haven't had any obedience training, both Meredith and Kerby are great with people and other dogs. They seek out human contact and like to snuggle and love on their humans… as well as to use their adorable, sweet faces to con their way up onto the sofa and into laps.

They also enjoy wrestling with other dogs and playing with their toys. Merry and Kerby adore kids, but can be too rambunctious for little ones, so any human siblings should be over 5 years or so. Neither much likes cats, though, so they would do best somewhere that is kitty-free.

Kerby is the typical class clown Frenchie. He has a very high activity level, so he needs to be watched in the heat as he will not regulate himself. Left to his own devices, he would just Energizer bunny himself into not-so-spontaneous combustion.

Meredith is much more laid back than Kerby, but she's no couch potato wallflower, either. She loves to rough house and play with her toys. Off leash, Merry is friendly and playful with other dogs, but on leash she is aggressive towards them as well as some men. Her new owner(s) must be able to control this behavior, as well as help her overcome it with firm, patient training.

Because Kerby's energy level is so high, he needs a home where he can get a lot of attention. This doesn't necessarily mean someone who will be home all day, as Merry and Kerby can play and exercise with each other to some extent. However, they do need either someone who is home a little during the day or will hire a dog walker. The pair might also do well in the right office setting.

Because of their prey drive, cats are a definite no for Merry and Kerby, and birds are probably out as well. It also means they must have a fenced yard. If they live somewhere warm, they'll need a house with air conditioning so they can stay cool while they play in the summer. The pair loves kids but can play rough and knock down little ones, so we're suggesting any children be over 5 years or so.

The pair's foster mom has this to say about the dynamic duo:

Kerby is a real love bug. He finds impossible to sit still and needs a lot of play time or he will eat your shoes! He is ok on leash and is very curious about EVERYTHING! He is a good guard dog and will bark if the bell rings or someone knocks. He does anything and everything he can to please. He doesn't have a nasty bone in his body and loves to rough house with anyone.

Merry is a real cuddle bunny who has the sweetest face ever! Her "can I come up on the couch?" face is the best. She is loving, playful, adorable and loves human contact.

Merry and Kerby will only be placed together – no exceptions! They wouldn't know what to do without each other and, in no time at all, their lucky new family won't be able to remember how to survive without their loveable antics, either. If your home is in need of some double trouble, dig up your passport because Merry and Kerby are north of the border in Toronto and will not be shipped.
