There’s a new heartthrob in town, and we know that the perfect family is out there waiting for him. Major is a 5 _ year old lovebug. He's blessed with good looks but doesn’t let that go to his head.

Major was surrendered to FBRN because he’s prone to skin allergies. Since coming into foster care, he’s been switched to some high quality food and his skin has improved drastically.

We believe that this handsome boy is one of those elusive, almost too good to be true Frenchies: he’s good with everyone and just about every situation. He likes other dogs and co-exists happily with the resident canines in his foster home, and he also likes children. Perhaps most impressive is the fact that he’s so mellow around cats that he’s frequently joined cat-adoption events with his foster mom, and has been named an honorary cat because he fits right in.

Don’t be fooled, however, as this boy is as active as any given situation demands. He gets excited when he sees a leash and heads straight for the front door because he’s always ready to go for a walk. He also does well at the dog park, playing with dogs of both genders easily. He especially enjoys the pond area of the dog park and runs up and down the shore (he is so drawn to water that he should probably wear a life jacket around pools or lakes just to be safe.) When it’s time to settle down and cuddle, he’s an expert at this, as well! His foster mom says that one of Major’s favorite activities is to strike a pose on a couch or bed and simply ponder the meaning of life.

Major is mostly housebroken but will occasionally have accidents, so his new family must be willing to set a routine and stick to it to set him up for success. While he does not have any formal obedience training, he is incredibly smart and would make an apt pupil for his forever family.

We feel that Major would do well in most environments whether the household consists of one or many people. As long as this boy is included in family activities, he’ll be happy. A fenced yard is preferred but not required. He would easily adjust to going to work with someone, although if his person works away from home, he would be fine with a midday potty break.

Major is ready to give one lucky adopter his entire heart, and we know someone is waiting to reciprocate. If you like what you’ve learned about this handsome boy, please apply for him. You must be willing to pick him up in Central Oklahoma, because he will not be shipped.
