What roars like a tiger at play, runs like a Great Dane, and has the ears of a sweet rabbit? Give up? This marvelous, mystical creature is FBRN’s very own Kahlia. A precious little frogette, Kahlia is ready to make the right forever home deliciously happy. She is a petite fifteen pounds, cute as can be and she knows it. Whether she is curled up in your lap in a compact ball, or wagging her tiny nub a mile a minute, this agreeable youngster is ready to bring smiles to each and every day.
When Kahlia first entered foster care she was not feeling well at all. We found out that she had a ruptured ear drum, which must have been very painful. There is no infection left after treatment and the ear is healing nicely. It will take about six to eight months for the eardrum to reattach. Other than that, Kahlia is a healthy little Frenchie – how about that?!
Kahlia is a very easygoing puppy who would fit handily into almost any sort of home. Her foster mom has come to know her very well and says this about her, “Kahlia is a wonderful girl that gets along with everyone and everything. She is playful, but not overly active. She would do great in a home with a parent who is active and/or has older kids that love to play. She would not do well with elderly folks or a parent with small toddler age children, as she loves to get between your feet when you walk.”
“She LOVES other dogs and should be placed with at least one. If she did go into an only dog home, she would need to attend doggy daycare a few times a week to for fun and socialization. She would be great for any level of experience, but her forever home will need to be willing to keep up her training. She would like to think she is smarter that the average human!”
“Kahlia is a sweet and loving puppy. She loves to sit on your lap and give kisses. She would be happy snuggling next to you in the sofa or in bed. She LOVES to eat and will become overweight if you free feed her. She fit right in with my pack and made fast friends with all. She is so tiny and cute and that makes it hard to stay angry with her.
I love the little muffin to death, and am glad I had the opportunity to foster her to health and happiness.”
Although Kahlia loves to play and do some zoomies every day, she is very mellow for a youngster. Work from home, take her to work, or hire a sitter for a mid-day break – it’s all good with Kahlia. She is 98.9% housebroken, crate trained, and is learning to walk on a leash. A playful young frog likes to hop around in a fenced yard, but she could also live in an apartment or condo. About that fenced yard, though, you can’t leave her unattended. She is a poo-eater and when she succeeds her kissy-kisses are not so sweet. Blehhhh!
Why are you still sitting there? Kahlia of the crooked little smile is waiting in sunny North Carolina. Apply for her today, and she could be yours before the dog days of summer are past. Make sure your car’s air-conditioner is working because it gets downright hot there, we hear. Oh, and did we mention? She will not be shipped.
