"But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the East and Juliette is the sun! Arise fair sun and kill the envious moon."
--William Shakespeare
The light of your life, your very sun – our Juliette is a burnished brindle love whose warm and gentle companionship will fill your heart. Juliette was momma to many litters of puppies before she was rescued by a Good Samaritan who subsequently relinquished her to FBRN's care. She arrived traveling in the back of a pick-up truck covered by a blanket, concealing her true identity. Now she is wearing her royal crown openly in anticipation of a peaceful, happy life as the queen of your realm.
Juliette is a quiet, easy frog to have around. She has a few priorities on her list – she wants to be loved, valued, and have plenty of time to nap! Her very favorite pastime of all is napping in the big people's bed. Heaven is a lazy weekend morning, sleeping in and snuggling. When she is feeling kind of sprightly, she will do a little piggy run while you try to catch her corkscrew tail. Mostly she rolls and snorts happily in the grass, blinking with surprise when she falls off the curb!
Having found her place in the canine hierarchy in her foster home, Juliette is coexisting peacefully with two Boston Terriers and a creaky, older Dalmatian. She puts the Bostons in their place when their rambunctious play goes over the top, and she leaves the Dalmatian alone. She will growl at the female Boston and try to dominate her, but no fights have erupted. "Shhh, be still," she commands when too much frolic interrupts her quiet time.
Despite her previous life as a puppy producer, Juliette has no health problems. She has not completely mastered the finer points of going outdoors to potty. She does best if watched and let out often. For convenience, a fenced yard would be nice to help her keep tidy. But, she is not a runner and could easily be walked instead. She will go in a crate and her foster mom puts pee pads on the floor at night for her. This arrangement would also work if you have to leave her home to go earn a living, but she would be an office-mate nonpareil, curled happily at your feet.
Agreeable and sweet she gets along with every human, and is just so content to be by your side. She goes with her foster mom to visit a nursing home and charms the residents with froggy ways. There aren't any children in her foster home, but there is no reason why she wouldn't like them as long as they treat her kindly and don't expect much more than a few snortles of play. Foster mom does cat rescue also, and Juliette pays them no never-mind – a plus in a Frenchie for sure.
Polishing up her crown and scepter, Juliette is waiting to rule benignly in your castle. Her foster mom declares, "Juliette has been my first French Bulldog foster and she has been an absolute delight". Ready to delight you as well, Juliette is snacking on cottage cheese in Oklahoma, and will not be shipped.
