She's adorable, available and now adoptable. Dinkie was one of three Frenchies who were living outdoors in Southern Colorado since they were puppies. Following the divorce of her family and placement in another home, Dinkie arrived in our care. No more sleeping under the stars for this girl, sleeping in her human's bed and being loved are her greatest pleasures.

Amazingly for Dinkie, all the hardships she has endured have not changed her love for humans of all ages and sizes. She plays gently with young children, adults and senior citizens. Dinkie has no preference, but please be a loving human who wants the constant companionship of this Frenchie. Her absolute favorite thing in the whole world isn't a toy, or another dog, it's the company of her family. We are looking for a family who will love Dinkie endlessly and has the ability to offer a full-time commitment to her. She needs to be included in all the daily happenings around the house and an empty lap or snuggle time on the sofa is a must. She thrives with human interaction as this girlie is making up for two years of lost time.

She has a wonderful temperament, is quickly learning basic commands, is crate trained and is making GREAT strides in the area of housetraining. Prior to entering family life, she arrived totally unaware of house training. This little beauty is a quick study and her foster family has developed a routine ensuring quick tinkle and potty time and a treat for outstanding potty manners. Dinkie requires company when pottying outside, but this ensures you actually see her eliminate and it reduces the number of indoor accidents. Following the commands ' go potty' and ' finish your business', Dinkie high tails it to the house waiting for her special praise, reassuring her that she has done something very good.

Dixie only shows slight interest in chasing a ball in the house but has no need to be bothered with stuffies, chewies and doggy toys. This girl is athletic and enjoys a brisk walk to maintain her gorgeous figure. She walks very well on leash.

Our ideal home would include a person who is home most of the time or a person looking for a go-to-work Frenchie. Dinkie will not thrive being kenneled for long periods of time, or removed from her family. She craves human interaction and preference will be given to people who can provide this.

Dinkie doesn't need a fenced yard to run in or even a fenced yard for play with other dogs, only an area for elimination. She requires and enjoys daily walks for exercise and seeing the outside world and all its happenings.

As you read the following you will realize how special this girl has become to her foster family.

"Dinkie is a very special little Frenchie girl. She looks at you with such devotion and love, you can't help but melt. She will cuddle like a baby in your arms and lie there for as long as you will let her. She's excitable at first, but settles right down, as long as she can follow you around or lie next to you. She is fun to take on walks, because of the sheer joy of it is seen in her eyes. She is so loving and sweet, and has not met a human she doesn't like. She will need consistency to keep up with the house training she's received so far, but she is so smart and willing to please, she is really getting it. We want a family who will spend loads of time with this love-starved girl."

Dinkie is being fostered in western South Dakota and we know she is worth the drive or flight on your part. Please remember you must arrive in person for this treasure, as she will not be shipped.
