Are you looking for a pudgy sweet thing to cuddle up with on the couch? If you are, Cupcake is the perfect Frenchie for you!
Cupcake made her way into rescue after she could not play nice with her fur sister. Her mom knew that there had to be a better home where Cupcake could be the center of attention, so she lovingly surrendered her to FBRN. Since she has been in foster care, Cupcake has shown that she is a lover, not a fighter. She just wants to be the only princess in the palace, that's all. What's so hard about that?
Cupcake's favorite thing in the whole wide world is to be with her people. If there is a person sitting down, Cupcake is in their lap or making her rounds to each person to figure out whose lap is going to be the most comfy to sit on. When Cupcake has her people in her sight she is a happy camper and will sleep and snuggle the day away. After her beauty rest, Cupcake loves to gnaw on her chewy toys and give kisses to all of her people friends.
Cupcake is housebroken, but enjoys going outside on a regular basis. The perfect home for Cupcake will have a fenced yard and a dog door, but if your house doesn't have these, let us know how you can make it work for Cupcake without them. Cupcake can live in a home without a yard, but she will need at least 3 short walks a day for potty breaks. Cupcake has skin allergies and has a salve treatment for it. Her new home will need to maintain her skin care to keep her comfortable. She also needs baths to soothe her skin. While she does not enjoy being wet, she will put up with it because she knows she will feel so much better in the end.
Cupcake is a real smart cookie. She knows several commands and listens very well. She is great on short walks and loves to go for car rides. Cupcake would be best placed with a family that has a stay at home or work from home person. Cupcake would also make a great dog to bring to the office as long as she is the only dog there and she has a quiet spot to rest in. She would love meeting all the people at an office. The longest Cupcake should be left alone is for 6 hours at a time. Cupcake can be placed in a home with older, dog savvy children. Cupcake will not be placed in a home that has other pets.
Cupcake's foster family has had so much fun with her and they say that she has one of the greatest personalities around. If you are interested in adopting Miss Cupcake, be prepared to travel. Cupcake is being fostered in Pennsylvania and will not be shipped.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo. Except in rare or unusual cases, adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. In rare or unusual cases, FBRN may be able to assist in transporting a dog to a volunteer near the adopter's home, but the expense of transporting the dog must be the responsibility of the adopting party.
