Please read the puppy mill info page before applying for Cisco.
Cisco has a bite history.
Cisco Kidd was adopted and returned when he failed to get along with the Pug in the home, and nipped his new dad’s nose when dad moved in for a kiss. It’s unclear whether the nip was a true nip or whether there was tooth banging. In his foster home, Cisco has been great with kids and other dogs, giving evidence of an extremely mellow and laid-back temperament.
Cisco has a permanent eye injury, but apart from that, the boy is in real good shape.
He has gotten along very well with the Frenchies in his foster homes, past and present, but Pugs are another story. Possibly only Frenchie owners should apply? He does play from time to time, but he doesn’t do a mad dash through the house. He's a calm boy.
Cisco is house and crate-trained but hasn’t had any obedience training. His favorite activities include snoozing with his foster mom, snoozing in his bed, chewing his nylabone or gnawing on a round bone. No, he’s not Mr. Excitement, but if that is what you are looking for, this might not be your guy (we have some others who enjoy thrill-seeking, though!) He is a laid-back dude.
Cisco would be the perfect go-to-work dog. If you have to leave him at home but could come home or send someone by to visit at mid-day, that would work.
He must go to a family with a fence, or an apartment where he will only be walked on leash.
Here’s what his foster mom says about Cisco: “He’s the sweetest, most laid-back Frenchie I have ever seen. I’m totally smitten with him!”
Currently, Cisco Kidd is tiptoeing through the snowy drifts of central MN. If you are the lucky family to take him home, plan to make your way through the snow to him, because he will not be shipped.
